Forming & Bending

Extreme Tonnage. Pinpoint Precision.

Massive Metal Plate Forming & Bending

In heavy industrial manufacturing, relying on welding multiple small plates together introduces critical weak points and drastically increases inspection costs. To solve this, engineering firms turn to Openex to bend and roll massively long, incredibly thick steel plates directly into the required structural shapes.

Equipped with giant 3000+ Ton press brakes and CNC multi-roll machines, we can fold or roll virtually any metallic plate—including specialized, high-rebound materials like Hardox® wear-resistant steel and thick Duplex stainless steels—overcoming intense material spring-back to meet absolute dimensional accuracy.

Our Heavy Forming Arsenal

Heavy Metal Plate Rolling Service

Heavy Plate Rolling

Using large 3-roll and 4-roll CNC bending rolls, we create perfect massive cylinders, cones, and transition segments. This capability is absolutely crucial for the pressure vessel, wind energy, and offshore oil & gas markets.

  • Up to 150mm Cold Rolling Capacity
  • Up to 250mm Hot Rolling Capacity
  • Perfect seam matching for continuous welding
3000 Ton Large Press Brake Bending

Press Brake Forming

From large boom arms on cranes to giant mining truck bodies, our heavy tandem press brakes handle exceptionally long plates in a single folding pass. This eliminates splice welds entirely, resulting in dramatically stronger OEM components.

  • Tandem Brakes up to 15 Meters in Length
  • High-Tonnage: Folding over 100mm plate thickness
  • Precision V-Die tracking for minimal marking
CNC Plate Beveling

Plate Beveling & Edge Prep

Thick metals demand proper edge profiles to allow full penetration during Submerged Arc Welding (SAW). Our automated mechanical bevellers and 3D robotic cutting systems rapidly profile K, V, X, and Y joint geometries to exact ASME code specifications prior to the forming operation.

Forming & Rolling Dimensional Capacity

These maximum values depend directly on material type, yield strength, and length of bend. Contact our engineers for a detailed review of your specific CAD file or print.
