What is the difference between being 'certified' and being 'compliant'?

'Certified' means a third-party organization (like ISO or ASME) has formally audited our processes, personnel, and equipment and has issued a certificate confirming we meet their standards. 'Compliant' means that while we may not hold the official certificate from a specific body (like DNV), we follow their standards and procedures meticulously, and our work will pass inspection by that body. We are certified by ISO, ASME, and CE, and compliant with many others like DNV and ABS.

What is an ASME U-Stamp and why is it important for pressure vessels?

The ASME U-Stamp is a certification mark indicating that a pressure vessel has been designed, fabricated, inspected, and tested in strict accordance with ASME's Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code (BPVC), Section VIII, Division 1. It is a globally recognized symbol of safety and quality. The U2-Stamp signifies compliance with Division 2, which allows for more complex engineering and higher allowable stresses. Having these stamps is a legal requirement for most pressure vessels used in the United States and Canada, and is a trusted benchmark worldwide.

What does CE Marking and EN-1090 EXC4 allow you to do?

CE Marking indicates conformity with health, safety, and environmental protection standards for products sold within the European Economic Area (EEA). EN-1090 is the specific standard for the fabrication and assembly of steel and aluminum structures.
