Massive Equipment for Cement Production
The cement and aggregate manufacturing process is exceptionally harsh. Equipment must run continuously while enduring extreme temperatures, intense mechanical friction, and highly abrasive raw materials like limestone and clinker. Unexpected equipment failure leads to millions in lost plant production.
Openex Metal Fabrication is a strategic partner for global cement equipment OEMs and plant operators. With our massive 250-ton lifting capacities, exceptionally thick heavy plate rolling capabilities, and large-scale Vertical Turning Lathes (VTL), we manufacture the colossal, wear-resistant steel components required to keep modern cement plants running efficiently.
Cement & Aggregate Equipment We Manufacture
Rotary Kilns & Dryers
We specialize in the heavy plate rolling and deep-penetration submerged arc welding (SAW) required for thick-walled rotary kiln shells, massive riding rings (tires), trunnion rollers, and girth gears.
Mills & Crushers
From robust Ball Mills and Vertical Roller Mills (VRM) to massive heavy crusher frames. We process high-yield structural steel and precision machine giant drive hubs and bearing housings.
Silos, Hoppers & Bins
Fabricating high-volume storage silos, raw material feed hoppers, and clinker storage bins. We line high-wear impact zones with abrasion-resistant steels like Hardox 500 for maximum operational lifespan.
Preheaters & Heavy Ductwork
We process specialized heat-resistant alloys to fabricate colossal preheater tower cyclones, downcomer ducts, and clinker cooler exhaust systems that withstand extreme exhaust gas temperatures.
Engineering Capabilities for the Cement Sector
- Massive Cold & Hot Plate Rolling
Cement kilns and mill shells require forming extremely thick carbon steel plates into perfect cylinders. Our massive roll bending machines easily handle the thickest specs without buckling or ovality issues.
- Advanced Hardfacing & Wear-Resistant Welding
To combat abrasion from crushed limestone and clinker, our certified welders utilize specialized hardfacing, overlay welding, and tungsten carbide integration to exponentially extend the life of high-wear impact zones.
- Pre-Assembly & Rigorous NDT
We assemble giant rotary kilns section by section on our vast 180-acre factory floor. Welds are subject to stringent Ultrasonic (UT) and Radiographic Testing (RT) to ensure zero failures upon site commissioning.
