The fabrication of thick-walled pressure vessels, offshore monopiles, and massive rotary kilns demands immense, controlled hydraulic pressure. Plate rolling is often the ultimate bottleneck for heavy manufacturing, as very few facilities possess the machinery required to bend steel over 100mm thick without inducing fatal micro-fractures.

At Openex, our dedicated forming shop is anchored by 10 state-of-the-art plate rolls (including industry-leading Haeusler 3-roll and 4-roll technology) and over 30 heavy press brakes. Whether cold-forming tough Hardox plates for mining or hot-rolling extreme 300mm carbon steel slabs for offshore tubulars, we possess the raw tonnage and metallurgical expertise to execute flawlessly.

Thick Cylinder & Cone Rolling

Using top-tier Haeusler and WDM equipment, our operators precisely calculate spring-back and pre-bend requirements for high-yield plates, fabricating perfect cylinders and complex eccentric cones.

Tandem Extreme Length Press Braking

For exceptionally long structural channels, half-shells, and heavy trailer beds, we deploy a fleet of over 30 CNC press brakes, including a monumental 3,000T Ursviken line and dual 2,000T synchronized systems.

Large Stamping, Dishing & Spinning

Essential for massive pressure vessel end-caps (elliptical, torispherical, and hemispherical heads), our forming division manages extreme force with multiple 4500t to 5000t deep-draw hydraulic presses and dedicated spin flangers.
